Our next leadership camps are in Spring 2025, in-person in downtown Toronto and online
Encourage togetherness and promote awareness about the rich culture of an Indigenous community through a cooking class! Members of your community can have the opportunity to discover how to cook appetizing Indigenous food, and also learn more about the stories of your Indigenous event leaders.
This event will teach people in your community about local Indigenous communities. There are many individuals who are unfamiliar with the Indigenous peoples’ food, agriculture, and history, and this cooking class can allow non-Indigenous people in your area to learn more and appreciate it.
Community members will not only learn a delicious recipe or two, but also develop understanding and friendships with Indigenous people.

Contact your local community centre about using their kitchen space. Book a date.
Find an Indigenous person to lead the event and ask them if they can connect you to other Indigenous people that would be interested in participating. You can try contacting local Indigenous restaurants, teachers, etc.
