Our next leadership camps are in Spring 2025, in-person in downtown Toronto and online
Do you have good henna skills? Henna can be a great way to show others in your community about your culture. You can invite community members to a local park or another public space and teach or showcase your henna skills. Through this project, you can give others the chance to learn the beauty of henna art!
This will be a fun way to bring your community members together and learn about cultural henna art.
The youth can provide designs on which to base their art, or they can freestyle if their ‘customer’ allows them. While drawing, the youth can inform them about where henna originated and how it works.
The youth can connect with their community and receive feedback on their work if they wish to make improvements.

Inquire with your local community centre if you can host a henna art event there and if a private room can be reserved for a specific date and time.
Create and print a flyer to advertise the event and recruit youths who have experience with henna art. Post the posters around the neighbourhood and on social media. Ask your friends if they might be interested in joining too.
Purchase henna art supplies, snacks, and drinks.
