Youth plant trees, shrubs, or other greenery in local spaces to improve the environment, beautify the community, and promote sustainability.

Encourages youth engagement in tangible sustainability efforts
This project empowers youth to make a positive impact on their environment while learning about ecology and teamwork.
Parks, school grounds, or community gardens
Neighborhood beautification projects or local environmental events
Identify planting locations and obtain necessary permissions.
Choose appropriate trees or plants for the local environment.
Gather tools, soil, and planting supplies.
Organize youth volunteers for planting and site preparation.
Maintain planted areas and track growth over time.
✓ Trees, shrubs, or seedlings ($50–$150 depending on quantity)
✓ Shovels, gloves, watering cans, and soil ($20–$50)
✓ Volunteer coordination and site prep (free)
✓ Light refreshments ($30-$50)
