• This project is useful for everyone because using reusable bags and water bottles saves them money and can also save the environment. Plastic can take decades or hundreds of years to decompose. This project can be your community’s first step to reducing plastic usage and sending it to landfills.  

• You and other volunteers will purchase reusable bags and water bottles and distribute them around your neighbourhood. This will be a good exercise for you and the volunteers too!

Suggested Action Plan

1. Check which part of your community/neighbourhood will benefit the most from this project. 

2. Create and print separate flyers to recruit volunteers to purchase and distribute the reusable bags and water bottles. Post the posters around the neighbourhood and on social media to advertise them to people who might be interested. Ask your friends if they might be interested in joining too. 

3. Get people to sign-up through text, email, or Google Forms.

4. Purchase reusable bags and reusable water bottles.

5. Run the event!
