Host a workshop which will teach local businesses about making their businesses more accessible to people with disabilities. Make the community a more inclusive place by helping local businesses become more accessible to everyone who lives in it!
This workshop will help teach local businesses how to make their businesses more accessible to those with disabilities. Many businesses have been meaning to make these changes, but do not know where to start.
It will allow people with disabilities to better access the businesses in their neighbourhood, making communities more inclusive.
A fully accessible venue
On a Saturday at the end of August
Research and contact fully accessible event spaces. Finalize a venue and book a date.
Contact people with a background in accessibility, planning, construction, design, renovation, etc. to be speakers at the workshop.
Create, print, and distribute flyers advertising the event to local businesses and share them using social media.
Get businesses to sign up for the event through text, email, or Google Forms.
Reach out to everyone who registered and confirm their attendance.
Run the event!
