Our next leadership camps are in Spring 2025, in-person in downtown Toronto and online
Design and facilitate a career-ready workshop for your peers in the community, that helps young people today develop a better understanding of how to get their first job and make a lasting impression!
Resumés and cover letters are hard to write and you don't learn much about them in school. Both youth leaders and youth attending will develop a better understanding of how to format these documents to improve the chances of them getting an interview, and soon after, land the job.
This workshop will create a space for youth to network with other youth in their community, to share resources and advice.
At the local community centre or library
On a Saturday during the summer
Contact community centres or libraries around the city that have empty rooms available. Book a date.
Create and print a flyer. Post it around the neighbourhood and share it with friends on Instagram.
Get people to sign-up by texting or emailing, or filling out a Google Form.
Connect with someone in your community who is able to give a presentation about best practices when applying to jobs, or who will help you research materials for you to present yourself during the workshop.
Run the resumé-building workshop!
