Our next leadership camps are in Spring 2025, in-person in downtown Toronto and online
Board games are enjoyed by people of all ages. Whether you are a child or a senior, there is always a game you used to enjoy or still enjoy playing. Host an outdoor board game event in your neighbourhood to reminisce about old memories while making new, fun memories with members of the community.
The number of attendees will be determined by how the event is promoted. There will be a positive turnout if this event is advertised at a local senior's home, an elementary and high school, and in the neighbourhood.
Due to the pandemic, youth have missed out on many socializing opportunities, and seniors are frequently not given the chance to socialize in the first place.
Whether the seniors and youth intermingle or not, it's an opportunity for people to interact with one another and make friends.
Every Saturday night for one summer month
School's gymnasium or the outdoor field
Locate an area in the park (preferably where there are picnic benches) to set up board games.
Create and print a flyer to advertise the event in schools, senior homes, and the community. Ask your friends if they might be interested in joining too.
Ensure attendees sign up through text, email, or Google Forms.
Connect with those who have registered to confirm the details of the event, their attendance, and whether they can donate a board game or bring an appropriate board game on the day of the event.
Organize the event (will it be tournament style or different games in random spots?)
Create prizes for board game winners (food, gift cards, etc)
