Our next leadership camps are in Spring 2025, in-person in downtown Toronto and online
Become a leader for young children and support the parents in your community by organizing after school safety walks for your local elementary school! Help kids get home safely from school while making connections with them and their parents. Instead of CarPool, it's a WalkPool.
There are many parents who fear for the safety of their child(ren) to walk home alone after school, but are unable to accompany them because of work or other uncontrollable circumstances.
Safety walks program will cut down the time students spend on taking longer routes to avoid certain areas, so they can spend more time studying and volunteering. This will also encourage them to participate in after-school activities without worrying about walking alone afterwards.
You and other volunteers can be of great assistance to the youth and their families by taking on this project!
